Spirit Folio SX 16 track mixer

This is a fantastic mixing desk with high quality pots and sliders, and best of all it's cheap! It has 20 inputs (12 mono channels, 4 stereo channels). All channels have 3 auxiliary sends - 1 pre, 1 post, and one switchable. The mono channels have mic-line inputs, in addition to insert jacks and also include separate direct outputs that can be selected to pre- or post-fader. They also have a UltraMic Pre-amp with 60 dB of gain and +22 dB of headroom, a very nice warm 3 band parametric EQ with mid swept control including an 18 dB per octave high pass filter. It also has a 4 bus structure with real subgroups routable to mix, 4 main outputs, Mix L, R and Bus L, R plus Aux 1, 2 & 3. A very useful separate Mono Output with level control, a nice stereo monitor and a separate phones output.

All in all, probably the best mixer in it's price class - ideal for a small home studio or for small live gigs.

Urei installation music mixers 1603 and 1605

Urei by Soundcraft launched two high performance club mixers at the winter Namm show 2006 – the 1603 and 1605. Designed to please club installers and pro djs alike these mixers follow the launch of the innovative 1601E mixer with sampling unit. The 1603 and the 1605 focus on DJ friendly features such as intuitive layout, versatile connectivity, Soundcraft quality and customization. The 1603 provides four input channels, the 1605 has seven input channels.
